The Sleep Video Generator

VIRALCADE's Sleep Engine turns a film into hours of slow, warm, softly narrated ambience made for falling asleep to. It picks the calmest moments, drifts across each one, grades the whole thing dark and low contrast, and narrates it in a breathy near-whisper. Ten minutes to three hours, and no part of it loops.

How it works

1
Upload your film
One file. The engine reads it and builds its own library of calm moments.
2
Choose the length
Anywhere from ten minutes to a full three hours.
3
Get your sleep video
Slow visuals, soft narration and an ambient bed, delivered as one long file.

Why creators use it

Up to three hours
Long-form is the format sleep channels live on, so the engine is built for it rather than stretched to it.
Nothing loops
Every second of picture is planned individually. There is no fifteen-minute clip repeated for three hours.
Graded for the dark
Lifted blacks, pulled highlights, low saturation and a warm cast. A cool, sharp picture keeps people awake.
The calmest moments, chosen
Each scene is scored for calm before it is used, so bright, busy or tense moments are passed over.
A near-whisper narration
Slowed and breathy by design, with an ambience bed underneath that carries on when the narration stops.
Priced by the hour
1,000 credits per hour of finished video, so a long render is priced like a long video rather than by the second.

Why long-form sleep video is its own problem

The obvious way to make a three-hour video is to build fifteen minutes and repeat it twelve times. It is also the reason most of them are unwatchable: the loop is audible before it is visible, because the narration comes back around with it. This engine does not loop. Every second of picture is planned individually and the narration is written in chapters, each anchored to a different stretch of the film, so hour three is not hour one again.

Built for the format, not adapted to it

Every choice here points one way. Scenes are scored for calm before they are chosen. The grade lifts the blacks and pulls the highlights down, with a warm cast over the top. The camera drifts rather than cuts. The voice is slowed to a near-whisper and an ambience bed runs underneath, swelling back over several seconds when the narration stops rather than snapping up. FAQ

What is a sleep video generator?

It turns a film into hours of slow, quiet, softly narrated video designed to fall asleep to. VIRALCADE's Sleep Engine handles the picture, the narration, the grade and the ambience bed in one render.

How long can a sleep video be?

From ten minutes up to three hours in a single render, which is the length most sleep channels publish at.

Does the video loop?

No. Every second of picture is planned as its own segment, so a three-hour video is three hours of placed footage rather than a short clip repeated.

Why is the picture so dark and slow?

Deliberately. Sleep footage is not merely dark, it is warm and low contrast, and it moves slowly. A bright, sharp, fast-cut video keeps a viewer awake, which is the opposite of the point.

What does a sleep video cost?

1,000 credits per hour of finished video, with a 600-credit minimum. A three-hour video is 3,000 credits. The studio shows the exact cost before you render.

Which plans include the Sleep Engine?

The Sleep Engine is available on any paid plan. It is the largest render we make, so it is not included on the free tier.
